tvāmagne vasupatiṃ vasūnāmabhi pra mande adhvareṣu rājan tvayā vājaṃ vājayanto jayemābhi ṣyāma pṛtsutīrmartyānām
We call you, Agni, lord of riches, presiding over dwellings, O king, in the gentle paths. By you, victorious ones offer the prize; we shall invoke prosperity for the progeny of mortals.
Royal Agni, I glorify at sacrifices you who are the lord of vast riches; may we who are in want of food obtain food through you, and (through you) may we overcome hosts of (hostile) men.
O AGNI, King and Lord of wealth and treasures, in thee is my delight at sacrifices. Through thee may we obtain the strength we long for, and overcome the fierce attacks of mortals.
