uta tye mā mārutāśvasya śoṇāḥ kratvāmaghāso vidathasya rātau sahasrā me cyavatāno dadāna ānūkamaryo vapuṣe nārcat
May the red-breasted Maruts, harnessing their swift horses, perform heroic deeds for the slaughterer at night. A thousand who have leapt down they gave; the noble one offered fitting reward to the strong-bodied one.
Or may those bay, well-actioned horses, the donation of Vidhata, the son of Marutaśva, (convey me); or (may) the thousands (of treasure) which he was bestowing upon and giving to me, entitled to respect, and the ornaments which he presented (to decorate) the person n, (contribute to the ceremony).
And these, bestowed as sacrificial guerdon, the powerful tawny steeds of Marutasva; And thousands which kind Cyavatana gave me, abundantly bestowed for my adornment.
