papṛkṣeṇyamindra tve hyojo nṛmṇāni ca nṛtamāno amartaḥ sa na enīṃ vasavāno rayiṃ dāḥ prāryaḥ stuṣe tuvimaghasya dānam
I asked Indra: you grant vigor and mortal delights; he who bestows wealth praised the noble gifts; may the two dwellings of the Vasus give riches — I sing the generous gift of the strong one.
Glorious, Indra, is your strength, exulting, immortal, and clothing (the world with light); do you give us riches, and brilliant wealth, and I will greatly praise the munificence of the opulent lord.
Strength much to be desired is in thee, Indra: the Immortal dances forth his hero exploits. Such, Lord of Treasure, give us splendid riches. I praise the Friend's gift, his whose wealth is mighty.
