त्यस्य॑ चिन्मह॒तो निर्मृ॒गस्य॒ वध॑र्जघान॒ तवि॑षीभि॒रिन्द्रः॑ । य एक॒ इद॑प्र॒तिर्मन्य॑मान॒ आद॑स्माद॒न्यो अ॑जनिष्ट॒ तव्या॑न्
tyasya cinmahato nirmṛgasya vadharjaghāna taviṣībhirindraḥ ya eka idapratirmanyamāna ādasmādanyo ajaniṣṭa tavyān
From the slaughter of that mighty beast Indra cut down with his fierce weapons; he thought one thing and another different thing came to be — hostile to you he acted.
Indra, by his prowess, has annihilated the weapon of that mighty beast, from whom another more powerful conceiving himself one and unmatched was genitive rated.
Indra with violence smote down the weapon, yea, even of that wild and mighty creature. Although he deemed himself alone unequalled, another had been born e'en yet more potent.
