एकं॒ नु त्वा॒ सत्प॑तिं॒ पाञ्च॑जन्यं जा॒तं शृ॑णोमि य॒शसं॒ जने॑षु । तं मे॑ जगृभ्र आ॒शसो॒ नवि॑ष्ठं दो॒षा वस्तो॒र्हव॑मानास॒ इन्द्र॑म्
ekaṃ nu tvā satpatiṃ pāñcajanyaṃ jātaṃ śaṛṇomi yaśasaṃ janeṣu taṃ me jagṛbhra āśaso naviṣṭhaṃ doṣā vastorhavamānāsa indram
Grant me one true lord, the Pañcajanya born — I hear his fame among men. May he awaken my blessing, newly established; let the faultless dwelling offer Indra the oblation.
Verily I hear you as chief among men, the protector of the good, friendly to the five classes of beings, the begotten, the renowned; may my (progeny), representing (their wishes), and uttering, his praises night and day, propitiates the glorified Indra.
I hear that thou wast born sole Lord of heroes of the Five Races, famed among the people. As such my wishes have most lately grasped him, invoking Indra both at eve and morning.
