yujaṃ hi māmakṛthā ādidindra śiro dāsasya namucermathāyan aśmānaṃ citsvaryaṃ1 vartamānaṃ pra cakriyeva rodasī marudbhyaḥ
Bind me indeed to you, Lord of heaven, place on my head the sign of a servant; and, like stones set firm, may the radiant one remain, and the Maruts weep for him.
Verily you have made me, Indra, your associate when grinding the head of the slave Namuci like a sounding and rolling cloud; and the heaven and earth (have been caused) by the Maruts (to revolve like a wheel).
Pounding the head of Namuci the Dasa, me, too thou madest thine associate, Indra! Yea, and the rolling stone that is in heaven both worlds, as on a car, brought to the Maruts.
