वि षू मृधो॑ ज॒नुषा॒ दान॒मिन्व॒न्नह॒न्गवा॑ मघवन्संचका॒नः । अत्रा॑ दा॒सस्य॒ नमु॑चेः॒ शिरो॒ यदव॑र्तयो॒ मन॑वे गा॒तुमि॒च्छन्
vi ṣū mṛdho januṣā dānaminvannahangavā maghavansaṃcakānaḥ atrā dāsasya namuceḥ śiro yadavartayo manave gātumicchan
They sought gifts of men’s wealth with generous songs; here they loosed the bond of the servant’s head, wishing the man to go forth.
Maghavan, who are glorified by us, assailing with the thunderbolt the antagonist (of the gods), you have slain those who were ever hostile (to you) from your birth; desiring to do good to Manu, you have bruised the head of the slave Namuci.
Thou, Maghavan, from the first didst scatter foemen, speeding, while joying in the milk, the Giver. There, seeking man's prosperity, thou torest away the head of Namuci the Dasa.
