चतुः॑सहस्रं॒ गव्य॑स्य प॒श्वः प्रत्य॑ग्रभीष्म रु॒शमे॑ष्वग्ने । घ॒र्मश्चि॑त्त॒प्तः प्र॒वृजे॒ य आसी॑दय॒स्मय॒स्तम्वादा॑म॒ विप्राः॑
catuḥsahasraṃ gavyasya paśvaḥ pratyagrabhīṣma ruśameṣvagne gharmaścittaptaḥ pravṛje ya āsīdayasmayastamvādāma viprāḥ
Four thousand head of cattle were the lot of the kine; Agni, thou didst take them back. Heat and oblation were offered; thus spoke the priests to that assembly.
We have accepted, Agni, the four thousand cattle from the Ruśamās; and the glowing, the golden ewer prepared for the solemnity, we who are wise have accepted it.
We have received four thousand head of cattle presented by the Rusamas, O Agni. And we, the singers, have received the caldron of metal which was heated for Pravargya.
