जनि॑ष्ट॒ हि जेन्यो॒ अग्रे॒ अह्नां॑ हि॒तो हि॒तेष्व॑रु॒षो वने॑षु । दमे॑दमे स॒प्त रत्ना॒ दधा॑नो॒ऽग्निर्होता॒ नि ष॑सादा॒ यजी॑यान्
janiṣṭa hi jenyo agre ahnāṃ hito hiteṣvaruṣo vaneṣu damedame sapta ratnā dadhāno'gnirhotā ni ṣasādā yajīyān
The youngest indeed, born before the day, beneficial to the days in the woods. He placed seven jewels, Agni the priest set the flame, he established the sacrificers.
(Agni), capable of birth, is born in the beginning of the days; radiant, he is deposited in the friendly woods, and then the adorable Agni, the offerer of the oblation, displaying seven precious (rays), is seated in every house.
