The priestly Agni, raised upward for the gods, stood in the morning with noble mind. Having kindled, he revealed the shining offering; the great god freed (the world) from darkness.
The offer of the oblation is awakened for the worship of the gods; favourably minded, Agni has rise up with the dawn; the radiant vigour of the kindled (fire) is manifested; the great deity has been liberated from the darkness.
For worship of the Gods the Priest was wakened: at morning gracious Agni hath arisen. Kindled, his radiant might is made apparent, and the great Deity set free from darkness.
