With valour they prescribed fivefold offerings, born with the breath of sisters; they looked upon Agni among men. Neither the uppermost nor lower incisors, nor the bright tooth, nor the breath, nor the axe, nor the keen edge (oppose him).

Agni, whom the twice five sisters dwelling among men, the descendants of Manu, have engendered, like feminine les, (awaking) him at dawn, feeding on oblations, brilliant of goodly aspect, and shharp as an axe.

He, Agni, whom the twice-five sisters, dwelling together, in the homes of men engendered, Bright like a spear's tooth, wakened in the morning, with powerful mouth and like an axe well-sharpened.
