abhūddevaḥ savitā vandyo nu na idānīmahna upavācyo nṛbhiḥ vi yo ratnā bhajati mānavebhyaḥ śreṣṭhaṃ no atra draviṇaṃ yathā dadhat
Savita, the god, has become worthy of worship; now let him be invoked by men. He who bestows jewels and honors on mortals, let him grant us wealth as he has given before.
The divine Savitā has been manifested; he is at once to be glorified by us; he is to be praised by the priests at the present (rite), and at the close (of the day), in order that he who apportions precious things to be descendants of Manu may bestow upon us, on this occasion, most excellent wealth.
Now must we praise and honour Savitar the God: at this time of the day the men must call to him, Him who distributes wealth to Manu's progeny, that he may grant us here riches most excellent.
