That greatness of the god Savitar, the mighty-natured, awakens the mind of the unthinking one; by his impulse the slayer beheads the foe—may that great rise for us, O God, with hymns.
We solicit of the divine, powerful, and intelligen Savitā that desirable and ample (wealth), along with which he grants a dwelling to the offerer of the oblation of his own accord; may the great deity grant us such every day.
OF Savitar the God, the sapient Asura, we crave this great gift which is worthy of our choice, Wherewith he freely grants his worshiper defence. This with his rays the Great God hath vouchsafed to us.
