उ॒त स्य वा॒जी सहु॑रिरृ॒तावा॒ शुश्रू॑षमाणस्त॒न्वा॑ सम॒र्ये । तुरं॑ य॒तीषु॑ तु॒रय॑न्नृजि॒प्योऽधि॑ भ्रु॒वोः कि॑रते रे॒णुमृ॒ञ्जन्
uta sya vājī sahurirṛtāvā śuśrūṣamāṇastanvā samarye turaṃ yatīṣu turayannṛjipyo'dhi bhruvoḥ kirate reṇumṛñjan
Lo, the steed and the steeds’ master served as truthful, performing their service with fleetness; the chariot-rider among the men quickly pressed on, smearing dust upon the brow and sprinkling the earth with semen.
And that swift (horse) enduring in battle, bestowing food, and doing service with his limbs, rushing swiftly upon the quick-moving (host of the enemy), going straight onward, and tossing up the dust, throws it above his brows.
And that strong Steed, victorious and faithful, obedient with his body in the combat, Speeding straight on amid the swiftly ressing, casts o'er his brows the dust he tosses upward.
