At dawn drink, O beloved cows, the milky Soma of the favored days, alone for you. With foaming streams, drink from the jeweled vessels, O friends; Indra made it by good deeds.
Drink, lord of horses, Indra, the libation offered at dawn; the noon-day libation is alone for you; but (in the evening) drink with the munificent Ṛbhus, whom, Indra, you have made your friends by good deeds.
Lord of Bay Steeds, at dawn thejuice thou drankest: thine, only thine, is the noonday libation. Now drink thou with the wealth-bestowing Rbhus, whom for their skill thou madest friends, O Indra.
