ko devānāmavo adyā vṛṇīte ka ādityām̐ aditiṃ jyotirīṭṭe kasyāśvināvindro agniḥ sutasyāṃśoḥ pibanti manasāvivenam
Who today chooses the gods’ estate? Who first kindled the Aditya, the radiant Aditi? In whose steeds, in Indra, in Agni, do they drink the share of the progeny, with minds like rivers?
Who solicits today the protection of the gods? who glorifies the Ādityas, Aditi, light? of whose effused libation to the Aśvins, Indra, Agni, drink at will propitiated by his praise?
Who claims to-day the Deities' protection, asks Aditi for light, or the Adityas? Of whose pressed stalk of Soma drink the Asvins, Indra, and Agni, well-inclined in spirit?
