को अ॒द्य नर्यो॑ दे॒वका॑म उ॒शन्निन्द्र॑स्य स॒ख्यं जु॑जोष । को वा॑ म॒हेऽव॑से॒ पार्या॑य॒ समि॑द्धे अ॒ग्नौ सु॒तसो॑म ईट्टे
ko adya naryo devakāma uśannindrasya sakhyaṃ jujoṣa ko vā mahe'vase pāryāya samiddhe agnau sutasoma īṭṭe
Who today of men sought the friendship desired by the gods for Indra? Who indeed in great need offered the portion near the fire, bestowing soma and the poured offerings?
What friend of man, or worshipper of the gods, deserving the friendship of Indra, has today enjoyed (it)? or what offerer of the libation on the kindled fire praises him (sufficiently) for his great and unbounded protection?
WHAT friend of man, God-loving, hath delighted, yearning therefor, this day in Indra's friendship? Who with enkindled flame and flowing Soma laudeth him for his great protecting favour?
