आदिद्ध॒ नेम॑ इन्द्रि॒यं य॑जन्त॒ आदित्प॒क्तिः पु॑रो॒ळाशं॑ रिरिच्यात् । आदित्सोमो॒ वि प॑पृच्या॒दसु॑ष्वी॒नादिज्जु॑जोष वृष॒भं यज॑ध्यै
ādiddha nema indriyaṃ yajanta āditpaktiḥ puroḷāśaṃ riricyāt āditsomo vi papṛcyādasuṣvīnādijjujoṣa vṛṣabhaṃ yajadhyai
They set the fetters, Indra bound them; they offered the sacrificial ghee and the cooked food. Indra's Soma, pressed in the vat, was offered; they sacrificed the bull for worship.
Thereupon some verily worship the powerful (Indra); thereupon one man prepares the buttered cake that he may offer it to (Indra); thereupon the offerer of the Soma he distinguishes from him who presents no libation; thereupon some one rejoices to worship the showerer (of benefits).
Hence many a one worships the might of Indra: hence let the brew succeed the meal-oblation. Hence let the Soma banish those who pour not: even hence I joy to pay the Strong One worship.
