ऋ॒तस्य॑ दृ॒ळ्हा ध॒रुणा॑नि सन्ति पु॒रूणि॑ च॒न्द्रा वपु॑षे॒ वपूं॑षि । ऋ॒तेन॑ दी॒र्घमि॑षणन्त॒ पृक्ष॑ ऋ॒तेन॒ गाव॑ ऋ॒तमा वि॑वेशुः
ṛtasya dṛḷhā dharuṇāni santi purūṇi candrā vapuṣe vapūṃṣi ṛtena dīrghamiṣaṇanta pṛkṣa ṛtena gāva ṛtamā viveśuḥ
By law are supports and strong foundations; they are full and bright in form. By law long forbearances were sought; by law the cows entered lawfully.
Many are the stable, sustaining, delightful forms of the embodied ṛta; the ṛta are (the pious) expectant of food; by ṛta have the kine entered into the sacrifice.
Firm-seated are eternal Law's foundations in its fair form are many splendid beauties. By holy Law long lasting food they bring us; by holy Law have cows come to our worship.
