nū ṣṭuta indra nū gṛṇāna iṣaṃ jaritre nadyo3 na pīpeḥ akāri te harivo brahma navyaṃ dhiyā syāma rathyaḥ sadāsāḥ
Do not praise Indra in vain, do not call him with loud cries; O purifier, do not pour forth empty songs. The divine ones made for you a new holy thought; may our chariots be ever ready.
Glorified (in the past), glorified, Indra, at present, satisfy your worshipper with food, as rivers (are filled with water); lord of horses, a new hymn has been made for you; may we, possessed of chariots, be ever diligent in (your) praise.
Now, Indra! lauded, glorified with praises, let wealth swell hiah like rivers to the singer. For thee a new hymn, Lord of Bays, is fashioned. May we, car-borne, through song be victors ever.
