Heroic one, born by you, the heavens regard you as Indra’s maker; you were once dark, then you discovered the bright realm—whoever born the radiant splendour, not the earth.
Heaven, your progenitor, conceived (I have obtained) a worthy son; the maker of Indra was the accomplisher of a most excellent work; he who begot the adorable (Indra), armed with the thunderbolt, irremovable from his station, and endowed with greatness.
Thy Father Dyaus esteemed himself a hero: most noble was the work of Indra's Maker, His who begat the strong bolt's Lord who roareth, immovable like earth from her foundation.
