stuta indro maghavā yaddha vṛtrā bhūrīṇyeko apratīni hanti asya priyo jaritā yasya śarmannakirdevā vārayante na martāḥ
Praise Indra, generous one, who strikes many Vṛtras with a single blow; his beloved is extolled—whose glory the gods uphold, they do not perish.
When Indra, the possessor of opulence, is glorified, he singly destroys many unyielding foes; the worshipper is dear to him (who relies) on his protection, and neither gods nor men molest him.
Alone, when Indra Maghavan is lauded, he slayeth many ne'er-resisted Vrtras. Him in whose keeping is the well-loved singer never do Gods or mortals stay or hinder.
