Great Indra, thou for us cast forth the spacious heaven and deemed the firm earth thy realm. Thou, having slain Vritra with the corpse-like strength, generated the boundless rivers.
You, Indra, are mighty; the vast earth confesses to you (your) strength, as does the heaven; you have slain Vṛtra by your vigour, you have set free the rivers arrested by Ahi.
GREAT art thou, Indra; yea, the earth, with gladness, and heaven confess to thee thine high dominion. Thou in thy vigour having slaughtered Vrtra didst free the floods arrested by the Dragon.
