When the waters became a roaring flood in the priestly place, they were formerly thy strength. May he, our leader, give us wealth: may he grant the plenteous kine and herds with loud-voiced singers.
Invoked of many, when you had divided the cloud for (the escape of) the waters, Saramā appeared before you; and you, the bringer of abundant food, have shown us favour, dividing the clouds and glorified by the Aṅgirasas.
When, Much-invoked! the water's rock thou cleftest, Sarama showed herself and went before thee. Hymned by Angirases, bursting the cowstalls, much strength thou foundest for us as our leader.
