In this wide path the heroic leader will not fail at the end; today he moves among the peoples in calm. The skilled seer, striking with incantation, pierces through the hostile ones with knowledge’s rites.
Hero, Indra, set us free today to give you exhilaration at this sacrifice, as (they let loose a horse) at the end of the road; may the worshipper, like Uśanās, repeat an acceptable prayer to you, the knower (of all things), the destroyer of the asuras.
Unyoke, as at thy journey's end, O Hero, to gladden thee today at this libation. Like Usana, the priest a laud shall utter, a hymn to thee, the Lord Divine, who markest.
