Ward off our error, O Agni; ward off the wrong thought from us. You, who with hundred sons art auspicious, which god perceived you and gave prosperity and welfare?
Agni, son of strength, since you protect (your worshippers), far (remove) from us all iniquity; far (remove from us) sin; far (from us) all evil thoughts; for proeperous is he of whom you who are radiant by night promote the well-being.
Far from us thou removest want and sorrow, far from us all ill-will when thou protectest. Son of Strength, Agni, blest is he at evening, whom thou as God attendest for his welfare.
