ऋ॒तस्य॑ बु॒ध्न उ॒षसा॑मिष॒ण्यन्वृषा॑ म॒ही रोद॑सी॒ आ वि॑वेश । म॒ही मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य मा॒या च॒न्द्रेव॑ भा॒नुं वि द॑धे पुरु॒त्रा
ṛtasya budhna uṣasāmiṣaṇyanvṛṣā mahī rodasī ā viveśa mahī mitrasya varuṇasya māyā candreva bhānuṃ vi dadhe purutrā
He bound the season with the dawn's light, the earth adorned by bright roḍasī; May the earth give bounty like Mitra and Varuṇa and the moon-like radiant sun to the many people.
The showerer (of rain, the sun), urging on the lawn, at the root of the truthful (day) has pervaded the vast heaven and earth; the mighty Uṣas, the golden light, as it were, of Mitra and Varuṇa, diffuses her lustre in different directions.
On Law's firm base the speeder of the Mornings, the Bull, hath entered mighty earth and heaven. Great is the power of Varuna and Mitra, which, bright, hath spread in every place its splendour.
