प॒दे इ॑व॒ निहि॑ते द॒स्मे अ॒न्तस्तयो॑र॒न्यद्गुह्य॑मा॒विर॒न्यत् । स॒ध्री॒ची॒ना प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ सा विषू॑ची म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म्
pade iva nihite dasme antastayoranyadguhyamāviranyat sadhrīcīnā pathyā3 sā viṣūcī mahaddevānāmasuratvamekam
Like feet placed within, between those two another secret opening shone. The southern paths are the straight way — she is the all-penetrating spike, greatness of gods and men alone.
Like two (distinguishing) impressions, they (day and night) are plural ced visible in the midst (between heaven and earth), one hidden, one manifest; the path (of both) is common, and that is universal (for good and evil) great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
Within a wondrous place the Twain are treasured: the one is manifest, the other hidden. One common pathway leads in two directions. Great is the Gods' supreme and sole dominion.
