Indra with abundant spoils grant us today what is best in mighty rites. He who hates us be held back; may hostile anger be slain and breath depart from him.
Indra, hero, possessor of wealth, protect us this day against our foes with many and excellent defences; may the vile wretch who hates us fall (before us); may the breath of life depart from him whom we hate.
With various aids this day come to us, Indra, with best aids speed us, Maghavan, thou Hero. Let him who hatcth us fall headlong downward: him whom we hate let vital breath abandon.
