The fire stood up with stemmed fuel, high and shining among the luminous ones. If from the Bhrigus about the motherly Marishvan a cave is full, I carry the oblation and press it together.
The mighty Agni, being the best of the heavenly luminaries, sustained the heaven with radiance, when the wind kindled the bearer of oblations, (till then concealed) in a cave from the Bhṛgus.
Best of all luminaries lofty Agni supported with his flame the height of heaven, When, far from Bhrgus, Matarisvan kindled the oblation-bearer where he lay in secret.
