vṛtrakhādo valaṃrujaḥ purāṃ darmo apāmajaḥ sthātā rathasya haryorabhisvara indro dṛḷhā cidārujaḥ
The slayer of Vritra, the lord, thunderous, the mighty driver of the chariot, establisher of streams, Indra is the strong uprooter and fierce breaker of foes.
The evourer of Vṛtra, the fracturer of the cloud, the sender of the waters, the demolisher of cities, Indra, the destroyer of powerful enemies, has mounted his chariot to urge his horses to our presence.
He who slew Vrtra, burst the cloud, brake the strongholds and drave the floods, Indra who mounts his chariot at his Bay Steeds' cry, shatters e'en things that stand most firm.
