Not despised among mortals are those our fathers, warriors in the herds. Indra guarded them; he created the strong clans, bearing the biting spear.
There are no revilers among men of those who were our progenitors and combatants for (the recovery of) the cattle; for the mighty Indra, the achiever of great deeds, liberated for them the numerous herds.
Not one is found among them, none of mortals, to blame our sires who fought to win the cattle. Their strengthener was Indra the Majestic he spread their stalls of kine the Wonder-Worker.
