इन्द्रं॑ म॒तिर्हृ॒द आ व॒च्यमा॒नाच्छा॒ पतिं॒ स्तोम॑तष्टा जिगाति । या जागृ॑विर्वि॒दथे॑ श॒स्यमा॒नेन्द्र॒ यत्ते॒ जाय॑ते वि॒द्धि तस्य॑
indraṃ matirhṛda ā vacyamānācchā patiṃ stomataṣṭā jigāti yā jāgṛvirvidathe śasyamānendra yatte jāyate viddhi tasya
Indra, mind and heart are addressed to you; the hymn-singer stood and sang. That which arose when the plains awakened—O Indra—know that as yours.
The praise that is prompted by the heart, and is uttered by the reciters of sacred hymns, proceeds to the presence of the lord, and is his awakener when repeated at the sacrifice; be cognizant Indra, of this praise, which is born for you.
To Indra from the heart the hymn proceedeth, to him the Lord, recited, built with praises; The wakening song sung forth in holy synod: that which is born for thee, O Indra, notice.
