tadinnvasya saviturnakirme hiraṇyayīmamatiṃ yāmaśiśret ā suṣṭutī rodasī viśvaminve apīva yoṣā janimāni vavre
Therein I set Savitṛ; I fashioned the golden-minded spell which the dawn adorned. May the praise be favorable; dawns go along the universe—she fashioned the births of men.
No one (distinguishes) my golden lustre from that of this Savitā, in which (lustre) he has taken refuge; gratified by pious praise, he cherishes the all-fostering heaven and earth as a woman cherishes her offspring.
Let no one here debar me from enjoying the golden light which Savitar diffuses. He covers both all-fostering worlds with praises even as a woman cherishes her children.
