इन्द्र॒ ओष॑धीरसनो॒दहा॑नि॒ वन॒स्पती॑ँरसनोद॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । बि॒भेद॑ व॒लं नु॑नु॒दे विवा॒चोऽथा॑भवद्दमि॒ताभिक्र॑तूनाम्
indra oṣadhīrasanodahāni vanaspatīm̐rasanodantarikṣam bibheda valaṃ nunude vivāco'thābhavaddamitābhikratūnām
Indra cleft herbs, waters, and trees, and the sky between; he broke the barrier of might, indeed the voice of strength was produced by his bold deeds against the knee‑pressing foes.
Indra bestowed plural nts and days, he gave trees and the firmament,he divided the cloud, he scattered opponents, he was the tamer of adversaries.
He took the plants and days for his possession; he gained the forest trees and air's mid-region. Vala he cleft, and chased away opponents: thus was he tamer of the overweening.
