When both were invoked by the priest with loud acclaim, a single Vṛtra-slayer stood forth. These indeed are Indra, the dawns and others, whom the generous have seized — such is their fame.
You alone, when invoked by many, and the slayer of Vṛtra, by your prowess, did say firmly (to the gods), fear not! Indra, endowed with opulence, vast is your grasp, wherewith you have seized these unbounded regions, heaven and earth.
Yea, Much-invoked! in safety through thy glories alone thou speakest truth as Vrtra's slayer. E'en these two boundless worlds to thee, O Indra, what time thou graspest them, are but a handful.
