च॒न्द्रम॒ग्निं च॒न्द्रर॑थं॒ हरि॑व्रतं वैश्वान॒रम॑प्सु॒षदं॑ स्व॒र्विद॑म् । वि॒गा॒हं तूर्णिं॒ तवि॑षीभि॒रावृ॑तं॒ भूर्णिं॑ दे॒वास॑ इ॒ह सु॒श्रियं॑ दधुः
candramagniṃ candrarathaṃ harivrataṃ vaiśvānaramapsuṣadaṃ svarvidam vigāhaṃ tūrṇiṃ taviṣībhirāvṛtaṃ bhūrṇiṃ devāsa iha suśriyaṃ dadhuḥ
They named Agni moon‑born, moon‑charioted, of sacred vow, all‑compassing, life‑sustaining, knower of heaven. Swiftly they grasped him, surrounded by flashing splendours; the gods placed him here as a goodly offering, the radiant.
The gods have plural ced in this world the delightful Agni in a delightful chariot, the tawny-hued Vaiśvānara, the sitter in the waters, the omniscient, the all-pervading, the endowed with energies, the cherisher, the illustrious.
Bright Agni with the bright car, Lord of green domains, Vaisvanara dweller in the floods, who finds the light, Pervading, swift and wild, encompassed round with powers, him very glorious have the Gods established here.
