agne tṛtīye savane hi kāniṣaḥ puroḷāśaṃ sahasaḥ sūnavāhutam athā deveṣvadhvaraṃ vipanyayā dhā ratnavantamamṛteṣu jāgṛvim
Agni, on the third invocation in the Savana, how many purōḷas were associated with the oblation carried by thousands? Thus among the gods we placed a wide-bearing, jewel-endowed barrier in the immortals' realm.
Be plural ased, Agni, son of strength, with the cakes and butter offered at the third (daily sacrifice), and do you (propitiated) by praise convey the precious imperishable and awakening (oblation) to the immortal gods.
O Agni, at the third libation takewith joy the offered cake of sacrifice, thou, Son of Strength. Through skill in song bear to the Gods our sacrifice, watchful and fraught with riches, to Immortal God.
