O Agni, invoking vow after vow, assembling the groups with well-ordered rites, we call forth the radiant Maruts. The breath that blows forth, unclouded, the moving ones who go to the sacrifice — the wise have established (them) in the sacred rites.
We solicit the might of the Maruts, the irradiation of Agni with solemn prayers in every assembly and company (of worshippers); those Maruts who ahve partly-coloured steeds, who are dispensers of unfailing wealth, firm (of purpose), and frequenters of sacrifices.
We, band on band and troop following troop, entreat with fair lauds Agni's splendour and the Maruts' might, With spotted deer for steeds, with wealth that never fails, they, wise Ones, come to sacrifice at our gatherings.
