अ॒ग्निः स॑नोति वी॒र्या॑णि वि॒द्वान्स॒नोति॒ वाज॑म॒मृता॑य॒ भूष॑न् । स नो॑ दे॒वाँ एह व॑हा पुरुक्षो
agniḥ sanoti vīryāṇi vidvānsanoti vājamamṛtāya bhūṣan sa no devām̐ eha vahā purukṣo
Agni causes the heroes to win victories; the wise win riches and immortal fame. May he, the lordly one, carry our gods to the place of men.
The wise Agni bestows faculties (securing prosperity and descendants); adorning (the world with lustre) he gives (sacrificial food) to the immortals; Agni, (to whom) many oblations (are offered), bring hither to us the gods.
Agni the wise bestows the might of heroes grants strengthening food, preparing it for nectar. Thou who art rich in food bring the Gods hither.
