आ रोद॑सी अपृण॒दा स्व॑र्म॒हज्जा॒तं यदे॑नम॒पसो॒ अधा॑रयन् । सो अ॑ध्व॒राय॒ परि॑ णीयते क॒विरत्यो॒ न वाज॑सातये॒ चनो॑हितः
ā rodasī apṛṇadā svarmahajjātaṃ yadenamapaso adhārayan so adhvarāya pari ṇīyate kaviratyo na vājasātaye canohitaḥ
O generous giver, when the oblation was placed by you beneath the waters, you brought forth what was born of heat. For the transgressor one is set aside; the sage taking counsel does not desire sordid gain.
He has filled both heaven and earth and the spacious firmament, he whom the performers of (sacred) rites have laid hold of as soon as born; he, the sage, the giver of food, is brought like a horse to the sacrificer, for (the sake of) obtaining food.
He hath filled heaven and earth and the great realm of light, when at his birth the skilful held him in their hold. He like a horse is led forth to the sacrifice Sage, graciously inclined, that he may win us strength.
