वै॒श्वा॒न॒राय॑ धि॒षणा॑मृता॒वृधे॑ घृ॒तं न पू॒तम॒ग्नये॑ जनामसि । द्वि॒ता होता॑रं॒ मनु॑षश्च वा॒घतो॑ धि॒या रथं॒ न कुलि॑शः॒ समृ॑ण्वति
vaiśvānarāya dhiṣaṇāmṛtāvṛdhe ghṛtaṃ na pūtamagnaye janāmasi dvitā hotāraṃ manuṣaśca vāghato dhiyā rathaṃ na kuliśaḥ samṛṇvati
For the widespread manly host you have waxed in thought and in might; you are pure butter to Agni among men. The twofold sacrificer and mortal both, with keen thought, set the chariot—heavenly lash—moving.
We offer to Agni, who is Vaiśvānara, the augmenter of water, praise (as bland) as pure clarified butter; and the priests and the worshipper incite by their (pious) rites the invoker of the gods to his two-fold function, as a wheelwright fabricates a caṛ
To him, Vaisvanara, who strengthens Holy Law, to Agni we present our praise like oil made pure. With thoughtful insight human priests bring him anear, our Herald from of old, as an axe forms a car.
