Agni, accept the oblation in the churned butter; come to the pressing-place as the all-knowing seer. May the gods, guardians of the sacrificial fee, who give wealth, grant us vigorous cattle and abundant prosperity.
I have recourse in this sacrifice to Agni, the invoker and praiser (of the gods), theintelligent, the all-knowing the unbeguiled; may he, the adorable, sacrificer for us to the gods, (and) accept the precious (offerings) we make for food and riches.
Aow, quick, sage, infallible, all-knowing, I choose to be our Priest at this oblation. In our Gods' service he, best skilled, shall worship: may he obtain us boons for strength and riches.
