आ होता॑ म॒न्द्रो वि॒दथा॑न्यस्थात्स॒त्यो यज्वा॑ क॒वित॑मः॒ स वे॒धाः । वि॒द्युद्र॑थः॒ सह॑सस्पु॒त्रो अ॒ग्निः शो॒चिष्के॑शः पृथि॒व्यां पाजो॑ अश्रेत्
ā hotā mandro vidathānyasthātsatyo yajvā kavitamaḥ sa vedhāḥ vidyudrathaḥ sahasasputro agniḥ śociṣkeśaḥ pṛthivyāṃ pājo aśret
O Hota (priest), arise with the assembly, established in the rite—true is the singer who knows the song. Agni, with rapid flame, son of thousand, with hair like a cloud, the guardian on earth brings wealth.
The invoker (of the gods), the exhilarator (of his worshippers), the true, the offerer of sacrifice, the most wise, the creator, is present at our sacred rites. Agni, the son of strength, whose chariot is the lightning, whose hair is flame, manifests his glory on the earth.
THE pleasant Priest is come into the synod, true, skilled in sacrifice, most wise, Ordainer. Agni, the Son of Strength, whose car is lightning, whose hair is flame, hath shown on earth his lustre.
