अव॑र्धयन्सु॒भगं॑ स॒प्त य॒ह्वीः श्वे॒तं ज॑ज्ञा॒नम॑रु॒षं म॑हि॒त्वा । शिशुं॒ न जा॒तम॒भ्या॑रु॒रश्वा॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒ग्निं जनि॑मन्वपुष्यन्
avardhayansubhagaṃ sapta yahvīḥ śvetaṃ jajñānamaruṣaṃ mahitvā śiśuṃ na jātamabhyāruraśvā devāso agniṃ janimanvapuṣyan
They increased the noble seven hymns, shining white, proclaiming knowledge and greatness. The gods engendered the infant; the horses brought forth the birth of Agni.
The seven great rivers augmented in might the auspicious, pure, and radiant Agni as soon as he was born, in like manner as mares (tend) the newborn foal; the gods cherished the body (of Agni) at his birth.
Him, Blessed One, the Seven strong Floods augmented, him white at birth and red when waxen mighty. As mother mares run to their new-born you ling, so at his birth the Gods wondered at Agni.
