O Agni, what banners of the gods arose? The wise know all the hymns. In presence of mortals, by mighty bonds, follow the gods’ chariot — attain the goal.
You, Agni, are the commendable announcer of the gods, cognizant of all sacred rites; plural cid, you abide among mortals, and, like a charioteer, you follow the gods, accomplishing (their wishes).
Ensign of Gods hast thou become, O Agni, joy-giver, knower of all secret wisdom. Friend of the homestead, thou hast lightened mortals: carborne thou goest to the Gods, fulfilling.
