Now do you praise, Agni, the ancient abode of the earlier ones, the third, O honored one. Supply for us, Agni, the heroic, broad, enduring riches, the wealth, the sire’s realm.

Verily, your praise has been recited (by us) at the third (daily) sacrifice, as it was in the repetition on your first propitiation; give us, Agni, ample and notorious food, posterity, riches, such as may be the support of numerous dependents.

I, in remembrance of thine ancient favour have sung my hymn in this our third assembly. O Agni, give us wealth with store of heroes and mighty strength in food and noble offspring.
