indhanvabhirdhenubhī rapśadūdhabhiradhvasmabhiḥ pathibhirbhrājadṛṣṭayaḥ ā haṃsāso na svasarāṇi gantana madhormadāya marutaḥ samanyavaḥ
With flaming shafts and swift kine, with smeared oils and radiant stones, they shone along the paths; the swan-like ones did not go to their own clutches — the Maruts joined in the honeyed madness of earth-offerings.
Maruts, who are of one mind, and are armed with shining lances, come with the bright, full-uddered kine, by obstructed paths, to partake of the exhilaration of the (Soma) juice, as swans (fly) to their nests.
With brightly-flarning kine whose udders swell with milk, idth glittering lances on your unobstructed paths, O Maruts, of one mind, like swans who seek their nests, come to the rapturous enjoyment of the meath.
