They, with ruddy shafts and red steeds, grew in the houses of Rta; like cloudless ones they bore the moon’s bright form with shining splendour for the well-equipped oblation.
They, the Rudras, (equipped) with melodious (lutes), and decorated with purple ornaments, exult in the dwellings of the waters; and scattering the clouds with rappid vigour, they are endowed with delightful and beautiful forms.
The Rudras have rejoiced thern in the gathered bands at seats of worship as in purple ornaments. They with impetuous vigour sending down the rain have taken to themselves a bright and lovely hue.
