अध॑ स्मा न॒ उद॑वता सजोषसो॒ रथं॑ देवासो अ॒भि वि॒क्षु वा॑ज॒युम् । यदा॒शवः॒ पद्या॑भि॒स्तित्र॑तो॒ रजः॑ पृथि॒व्याः सानौ॒ जङ्घ॑नन्त पा॒णिभिः॑
adha smā na udavatā sajoṣaso rathaṃ devāso abhi vikṣu vājayum yadāśavaḥ padyābhistitrato rajaḥ pṛthivyāḥ sānau jaṅghananta pāṇibhiḥ
They raised the chariot from us, O gods, and looked upon Vājyá; when the swift horses trod the paths thrice, the dust of earth rose, the two yoked with reins in hand.
Propitiated divinities, protect our chariot, gone forth in quest of food among the people, when the quick (horses), raising the dust with their paces, trample with their feet upon the high plural ces of the earth.
Yea, now ye Gods of one accord speed on our car what time among the folk it seeks an act of might; When, hasting through the region with the stamp of hoofs, our swift steeds trample on the ridges of the earth.
